Warning - Rant/Possible Spoilers
So I saw the 'Dark Knight' today with

and everything I said. Stands. That's right, I'm that guy who didn't like it. Well, don't get me wrong, it was a decent movie, I was entertained, but just about every scene (minus a small select few) with the "Joker" (if you could even call him that) made me cringe. He was painful to watch as a Joker, he played an excellent psychotic guy, but Joker. No. I was not at all amused by this Joker. I'm more of a fan of the comic/cartoony Joker. Heath Ledger was not as good as everyone made him out to be. His laugh was decent...when he did it...his jokes...were miserable, the pencil joke was great, more like that and I think he would have been much better, but everything else...eh. Also, again, not a fan of the makeup and the glasgow smile, nor the running "Why so Serious" joke and I didn't like how every five seconds he was licking his lips like he had peanut butter stuck to the roof of his mouth. Eh all flaws aside it was an entertaining movie, nothing though to what it was hyped up to be. I was very pleased, however, with the Two-Face, even if his suit was wrong xD I enjoyed his make up very much. As a whole, I wouldn't consider this an addition to the Batman series, or a remake in any way, more of a rendition, a more realistic version of how things could really be, how they could go in real life, which I believe was the point, and in that I believe it was a success, BUT if you are going to see Joker, then no. Heath Ledger was not at all a good Joker to me, good psycho, not good Joker. Needed more jokes, more funnies, more laughing, his puns and "jokes" he had in the movie were painstaking, few making me laugh, no, making me giggle. The pencil joke was the only thing that got a decent reaction, otherwise it was a slight chuckle. I totally forgot Batman did that voice deepening thing as well when he was the Batman, I couldn't help but laugh at that as well, it just sounded so forced and then there was that one part where he's supposed to be in pain and it just sounds like he's drunk, slurring and stammering. Oh well, I am no expert on movies, nor on Batman, but I was not amused. Entertaining as it was I still loathed the Joker and again, found myself biting through my lip at his every word. It was a good idea, but I feel it wasn't executed properly, at least for a fan of the original cartoon Joker. Well, that's all I've had to say. Go ahead, argue with me, but I'm not wavering on this. Points: Movie was Good, Heath Ledger was a terrible Joker. I've said my share. Go on and challenge me xD
